Announcing Neelam Patel as our new CEO

We are pleased to announce that Neelam Patel has been appointed as our new Chief Executive Officer.

Neelam has been a pivotal member of the MedCity team since 2014, as COO and also as our lead for supporting industries looking for clinical trial and evidence generation support.  Neelam has a breadth of experience across the sector, having held leadership positions in the pharmaceutical industry, the National Institute of Health Research and supporting health charities and the NHS.

Neelam Patel said:

Over the last 5 years, Medcity has been successful in being a front door to one of the world’s leading clusters for life sciences research expertise, talent and infrastructure, enabling the economic growth and the delivery of better health care to our region.  I feel privileged to have been part of that journey and grateful for Sarah’s leadership in developing MedCity to what it is today. As CEO, I look forward to championing the realisation of our vision, enabling connections, collaboration and coordination across the sector to position our region as a truly world leading hub for life sciences, the chosen destination for life science research, development, manufacture and commercialisation.  And beyond the South East, forging stronger partnerships with our fellow national partners for the health and wealth of our nation.
