Eliot Forster’s farewell to MedCity

After seven years representing MedCity, Eliot Forster is stepping down as Chair of the Management Board.

As a founder and leader of the organisation that promotes life sciences investment, entrepreneurship and infrastructure in London and the South East, Dr Forster has dedicated invaluable time and energy to the successful evolution of MedCity since its inception in 2013.

The relationships he has nurtured with national and international partners and stakeholders have ensured MedCity is recognised for its vital work representing the life sciences sector in the UK.

Dr Forster said: “It’s been an honour to chair MedCity and to help the region leap forwards as a world leader in life sciences. Since day one, the partnership between MedCity, the Mayor of London and the London Universities has been a catalyst for success. I’m sure the immensely talented and dedicated team I’ve had the privilege of working with will continue to drive the life sciences economy from strength to even greater strength.”

MedCity CEO Neelam Patel said: “On behalf of the team and the board, I thank Eliot for the leadership and commitment that he has brought to the work of MedCity and this important sector within the region and beyond. Eliot has been instrumental in supporting MedCity in its mission to advance cutting edge life science innovation supporting industry growth and investment, we are extremely grateful for this and wish him well.”

The search for a new Chair will now begin, with a transition over the summer.
