Company Spotlight – AxialBridge

At MedCity and London and Partners, a crucial part of our work is attracting and helping companies to set up in London. One of those companies we’ve helped is AxialBridge, a female-founded global life sciences advisory firm focused on clinical trial management, regulatory affairs, and due diligence. Since landing in the UK from Canada in July 2022, AxialBridge has had phenomenal success, achieving several of their milestone goals in a short timeframe.

About AxialBridge

Founded in early 2020, AxialBridge is passionate about supporting its international clientele from concept to commercialisation. The organisation is dedicated to the advancement of novel therapies, innovative devices and technologies by providing a more targeted and bespoke approach to strategic services.

Whether its managing clinical trials for small to mediumsized life science firms, working inhouse providing technical due diligence to funders, or developing a multi-jurisdictional regulatory strategy, AxialBridge is committed to supporting various stakeholders across the innovation and life science value chain.

Success of AxialBridge

A central part of AxialBridge’s success has centred on the company’s integration and contractual developments with several organisations in the UK life sciences ecosystem. Last year, in a significant step in AxialBridge’s development in the UK market, the company has signed an MOU (October 12, 2023) with the NIHR Surgical MedTech Cooperative to support the growth and commercialisation goals of their portfolio companies. In this capacity, AxialBridge will be providing clinical, regulatory, business and health-economic assessments whilst supporting the existing advisory network. They are currently in the process of developing similar agreements with London’s NHS trusts, innovation hubs and post-secondary institutions. This represents a rapid success in terms of NHS integration, a result partially aided by the advice and collaboration suggestions put forward by our team.

Beyond the NHS and ecosystem integration, AxialBridge has just been promoted to a Charter Membership with the Canada UK Chamber of Commerce, with CEO and co-founder Jaspreet Grewal being appointed to the board of directors. In this capacity, Jaspreet will be leading the Chambers Life Sciences forum, which will host a number of events in the coming year. This started with a well-received life science event that took place on December 6th at One Canada Square in partnership with the Canary Wharf Group and Kadans Science Partners. The event featured a number of prominent speakers, including a keynote from Lord James O’Shaughnessy, and the event focused on collaboration through innovation between Canada and the United Kingdom.

We are delighted to see the success achieved by AxialBridge in such a short space of time and look forward to continuing to support them on their development journey in the London life sciences ecosystem.
