Our people announcement: Jo Pisani appointed to the MedCity board
We are happy to share that Jo Pisani, Strategic Advisor non-executive director and charity trustee, has been appointed to join the board of MedCity having previously served on the advisory board.
After a 35-year career in industry and consulting, Jo is now focused on supporting charities, universities and business start-ups.
She is on the board of the UK Dementia Research Institute, The RSA Group and Findacure. She is also on the advisory board for University of Birmingham and a NED and strategic advisor for several UK biotech companies. Prior to this she led PwC’s UK Pharmaceutical and Life Sciences practice and started her career with BP and GSK.
Jo is a passionate supporter of critical public health issues, such as tackling dementia, addressing anti-microbial resistance and innovating in rare diseases.
Speaking about her appointment Jo Pisani said, “I am thrilled to be joining the MedCity management board, a role which combines my passion for UK Lifesciences and the role that MedCity plays within the national ecosystem. I will bring my experience in assisting senior Pharma and Lifesciences clients to develop global growth strategies and developing innovative partnerships between government, academia and industry. I will also bring my curiosity and passion for innovation particularly in advanced therapies, digital and data, and patient empowerment.”
