London stands at the forefront of Life Science innovation, driven by unmatched clinical facilities, research excellence, a globally unique healthcare system, and the largest life sciences talent pool in Europe that fosters the greatest of thinkers.
The sector has evolved rapidly over the last decade, with new capabilities and thriving innovation districts that are growing and strengthening our offer.
But London’s Life Sciences offer is complex and we have, up to now, not had a coherent life sciences proposition for London.
Over the last few months, we have been working with stakeholders from across London’s life science community to address this and tell the story of life science in London in a way that highlights the key messages that underpin London’s world-leading position, attracts new companies to the capital, adds value to the London economy and helps stakeholders navigate the sector and find the support they need.
The Launch
On 12th Sept 2024 we hosted an event to unveil London’s offer for life science. Leaders from across London’s Life Sciences sector came together to hear how we will be promoting and supporting Life Sciences in London. The event took place at the prestigious Francis Crick Institute, with over 100 guests in attendance.
Attendees joined in the celebration of life sciences in London and had the opportunity to network with leaders from across the sector, hear what the life science offer means for London, and took away the clear message about London’s leading position that they can get behind and shape further in future months.
