A mentoring and incubation programme that helps participants to overcome the pitfalls associated with start-ups.

INCUBATION AND MENTORING

The programme supports aspiring social entrepreneurs in the health and life science sector to launch their business ideas. To be eligible, participants must have a product/service that addresses health inequality in one of the seven participating boroughs.

BOOSTING LIFE SCIENCES SOCIAL ECONOMY PROGRAMME

THE PROGRAMME

The Boosting Life Sciences Social Economy programme is a partnership between Camden, Hackney, Hammersmith and Fulham, Islington, Lambeth, Southwark and Tower Hamlets with MedCity to support local social businesses and potential entrepreneurs in the public health and life sciences sectors, to increase opportunities for underserved communities in these sectors and address entrenched health and wealth inequalities.

This programme is funded by the UK government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.

PROGRAMME FUNDING

With £1.4 million in funding from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, we have embarked on a 22-month programme aimed at boosting the London life sciences social economy.

This programme will provide critical support to social businesses and potential entrepreneurs, helping them make a lasting impact on the health and well-being of our communities.
